Hey out there in blogland,
I have been cleaning up around the farm for the past few days. We had a lot of downed trees from Ike. It goes along pretty well for the most part. The usual dull chainsaw, and pruners. I dont know why those things get dull so quick. I mean just because you cut into the dirt and sand a little.
Things are looking good, one area at a time. Its overwhelming if you look at the whole picture. Makes you want to move to a condo. haha
The old ford tractor got a flat tire. I dont know why.... could have been the forest I was cutting down last week. Or surely not the multi-flora roses I mowed over by the acre. Well, anyway I could see it wasnt going to hold air. So, I started looking over the tire for a possible hole. I filled it with some air slopped some dish soap on it and started looking. Pretty soon here came the bubbles. As I wiped away the soap I saw the hole. I recognize that as being a thorn hole. Yes, because the tire was filled with little tiny multi-flora rose thorns. But this one seem to have come out, and here came the air. Yes, Yes, you are right. I looked both ways as if someone were spying on me. Just like a thief would. I went over to my freshly pruned rose bush and plucked a thorn from it. I very gently inserted the thorn into the hole, tapped it in with the handles of some pliers, and low and behold the air stopped leaking from it. I was on my merry way to mow the field beside where I had done some brush clean up. And,,,,, the tire held the air over night. But, I guess I will have to fix it right someday.
By the way Kim the pepper in the radiator stopped the leak immediately. So, I have once again bought myself some time in having to face the inevitable repair of my ancient farm equipment.

looking over your shoulder like a thief - hahhahahhaha i am tellin' you we MUST be related. j
Is that kind of like curing with a hair of the dog that bit? Who needs Tech tire patches anyway? Nature works better than chemical patches/fixes anyday. I raise my glass to you, O Queen of thy Jimmy Riggings! Once again, you managed to entertain us all!!!!!!!k
