"RITZ TRACKER, IN FRONT"

Yep! Ritz won last night at Scioto Downs. He went to the front and never looked back. I am very proud of him. He is such a stinker at times, but when he races like that its hard to be angry with him for all the antics he pulls.
He has been known to get loose and run all over the yard making divots. One day when the blacksmith had just shod him, and I turned him out in the paddock to play and he caught both his brand new front shoes while running and ripped them off!
He has run every new horse to the edge of the field nearly pushing them through the fence. One horse did get run through the fence. He went up the road to the neighbors house and walked past their living room window. The gal that lived there said she saw him pass the window and and said to herself " I always wanted a horse, and he is wearing a blue blanket". Ritz has spooked when I was jogging him, taking me for a trip into the woods. He has swerved so sharp at Scioto downs (when warming up) that the driver said he had never had a horse move that quick and never break stride.
But, all and all you have to admire his spunk. Especially when he races like he has the last two weeks.
