My friend Shelley sent me an email with pictures of mother animals cuddling their young. Very nice. The lion holding her baby between her paws. The polar bear napping with her baby snuggled beside her face. The giraffe cleaning her baby. The mother elephants trunk intertwined with her baby's trunk. Then the final picture was a woman holding her child upside down by the leg while she searched for something in the stroller. Just proves that humans are getting more and more stupid when it comes to children.
1. People put their kids in the bedroom as far from the family as they can get it. Animals sleep with their young, or at least nearby.
2. I have seen animals swat their babies with their paw if it bites or shows disrespect. I just love to watch these children smack at their mother when she doesn't give them what they want, when they want it.
3. How often does an animal baby fall in the pool or pond and drown because Mother was taking a nap?
4. Watch a mare protect her foal from the biggest meanest stallion. She will kick his ass if he messes with her baby. Not like the women who let their boyfriends thump on the kid, because he is such a good lay.
5. Have you ever seen an animal mother claw her way out of a cage or a fence when her baby cries? Unbelievable!
6. Animals don't let their babies cry and cry til they fall asleep. They comfort them and make them secure. That's all we as humans need to do.
I would like to say I certainly don't pretend to be an authority on child rearing. These are just some behaviors I have noticed throughout my life.
I think we could learn some lessons from the animal mothers.
..........Except for the ones that eat their young.

maybe the animals that eat their young know deep down that they would grow up to be serial killers and want to nip it in the bud. Too bad humans can't pick up on this vibe.
Humans on the other hand can't stand to face reality when it comes to infant mortality and the sad fact that it does exist. 6 ounce baby? Hook him up to wires, hoses and machines so he can be miserable! It's not right!!
